TLATA is excited to offer specialized aesthetics cadaver training by Dr. Winston Turnage, owner and Medical Director of Maui MedSpa in Austin, TX. As a military-trained surgeon who branched into aesthetics
“Dr. Winston Alexander Turnage has a natural approach to aesthetics with the goal to enhance each person’s natural features. He has full training in Neuromodulators, PDO Thread Lifts, Fillers, and trains his staff personally in all skin care techniques.“
Cadaver medical aesthetics training teaches you anatomy, and in aesthetics practices anatomy is the foundational truth. All patients are different and general protocols don’t always apply to every patient type. Anatomy, however, is the basis for all practice.
When you learn anatomy you can gauge your injection strategy to the specific patient and improve your results.
Dr.Turnage gives you a hands-on, in-classroom experience in 3-dimensional anatomic structures on the underlying anatomy of the face where many structures are relatively small, inaccessible and difficult to show by static image. He will teach you the latest injectables techniques by examining the musculature and fat pads in the face to show you the best injection sites per facial issue. At the end of the training you will walk away with a detailed understanding of anatomy to:
- Know how to correctly and safely administer the various aesthetic products
- Increase your safety skills and decrease your rate of complications
- Gain flexibility and Improve your results – you’ll get experience with how to start treatments deep and work up to the surface
- Get a foundation in the proper vocabulary which will help you effectively communicate with your colleagues, staff, industry, and to equip you with the language to engage in research
This is a hands-on, in-classroom training and is limited to 8 experienced cosmetic injectors and medical professionals* per class
A letter from a medical director can allow entry into this class if the student does not have the required experience.
