The Eyelash Extension Certification class is a combination of theory and hands on curriculum that introduces the technique of creating longer, thicker and curlier eyelashes that the technician will adhere to the client’s natural eyelashes. This non-invasive procedure uses a variation of techniques that are customized to fit and tailor your clients’ wants and needs. We will discuss and provide how Eyelash Extensions can be used alone or in conjunction with other aesthetic procedures. It is also recommended as an alternative to strip lashes or eyelash tabbing which is an older and more temporary method of lash extensions.

Each student will receive a JB Lash starter kit that is fully stocked to start taking clients and making money.  This kit includes

  • two full trays of lashes (2 different lenghts)
  • One full size glue
  • one full size remover
  • one straight tweezer
  • one curved tweezer
  • 10 undereye gel pads
  • 25 micro brushes
  • one jade stone
  • one roll of surgical tape
  • one small bottle of primer
  • one foam lash holder
  • eyelash case with key
  • marketing material and consultation sheets

Course Length:

Texas Laser & Aesthetic Training Academy’s Eyelash Extension class is an 8-hour training course that will educate the students on all of the important aspects of eyelash extensions.

We start the eyelash extension training with a comprehensive theory series with extensive handouts to accompany the information. During theory, we cover Sanitation, Rules & Regulations, Client Consultation, Pre and Post Care, Contraindications, Glue Ingredients, Eyelash Curls, Eyelash Lengths, Eyelash Widths, and the Eyelash Extension Application Process itself.

Once all questions are answered from all students, the class moves forward with the hands-on practice. Students will begin their hands-on practice working on a mannequin head to help build their hand/eye coordination and technique.

Once the student is comfortable with the mannequin lessons, they will then start on their live model. Students will work on their model for 2-3 hours. The instructor will grade out the eyelash extension artist giving helpful pointers on increasing speed and the after care of clients.

The students are given a certification of completion at the end of the training but are encouraged to practice on 5-7 models before they are fully confident in offering service to paying clients.
