Course Length:

2 Day, 16-Hours 9am-5pm

Skin Resurfacing class is held once a month and consists of two eight-hour days with back-to-back patients to optimize your training and give you the most hands on experience.  If our scheduled training dates do not work with your schedule, we try our best to accommodate a private course.

What Devices Will I Train On?

Skin Resurfacing class includes 2 common modalities used to resurface the skin and found in most Medical Spas and Dermatology Offices.

2 days of training includes Fractional Radio Frequency. This is not a laser but uses radio frequency energy to deeply penetrate fractions of the tissue, (creating micro-injuries) while allowing the other tissues to remain unaffected. This delivery method of energy allows for deeper penetration and a faster healing time.  Other manufacturer names or terms that uses the same technology would be: Fraxel, Fractionated, DOT therapy.

Day 2 also includes training on the 2940nm Erbium Nd: YAG Laser. Also known as a laser facial peel, this device is able to remove layers of damaged, wrinkled or scarred skin.

  • Histology of the Skin
  • Skin Typing
  • Laser Physics
  • Laser Safety
  • Rules and Regulations
  • Sanitation
  • Pre and Post Care
  • Patient Consultation
  • CPR Certification Training/Wound Care
  • Resume Building

TLATA requires an Apprentice in Training License be obtained before ALL laser classes. This includes:

  • Laser Hair Removal Technician Licensing
